Perhaps you're struggling with addiction, unsure about the future of a relationship, or just feel that you aren't living the life you were meant to lead. Whatever your needs may be, I am here to offer support. Therapy is a process of growth and self-discovery, and in my sessions I aim to create a healthy rapport with clients free of bias & judgment. I will always validate your concerns/insight; though at times I may extend alternative recommendations. I approach the therapeutic method as a powerful opportunity for clients to cultivate change in their lives. I create a compassionate and accepting therapeutic environment where clients can feel safe to explore enhancing their individual and interpersonal growth. At FPCC, you are more than what you feel your limitations are. Your treatment goals are important to me. Change is attainable; but we must work together to get there.

SAP & Supervision Services
FPCC Durham offers U.S. Department of Transportation SAP services for employers and employees in need. All SAP services are in alignment with current government policies and are available at an affordable rate. FPCC upholds ethical standards of practice and is an advocate for public safety! Flexible, affordable supervision options are also available to practicing LCSWAs and LPCAs.
Whether it is a new relationship or a longstanding marriage, we at times may need the objective input of an outside party to guide us through our issues. Sometimes it's best to seek help outside of our support systems. In helping clients with relationship issues, it is not my goal nor my role to make decisions for you both. What I will be instrumental in however is helping you and your partner actualize your relationship goals and enhance your emotional well-being. All couples are welcome; at FPCC, we value your diversity!
In your therapy sessions, we’ll work to identify constructive strategies to address your areas of concern. I utilize an eclectic approach of evidence and strengths-based techniques to help you work towards your treatment goals. About the Owner
Renae Floyd, MSW, LCSW, C-CATODSW, SAP, LCASA
Renae earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in 2012 after serving 6 years in the U.S. Army and being honorably discharged. Renae earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2014. With an interest in enhancing wellness in vulnerable populations, assisting those with substance misuse problems/dual diagnoses and helping clients strengthen interpersonal relationships- Renae began laying the groundwork for opening her innovative private practice in 2018. Hailing from Wilmington, NC, Renae is the loving mother to a handful of different four-legged animals. She is a major foodie fan! She also enjoys fishing locally and weekend outings with family to the movie theatre. Renae is currently studying at NCU to obtain her marriage and family therapy doctoral degree and she teaches courses as an adjunct instructor on occasion for different institutions. She married her husband Vincent in September 2019 and they welcomed their daughter Victoria in August 2020.
